The Lament of the Innocent...

If this were a dream, would you wake me up?
Or would you let me stay in slumber, for aeons?
Would you let this heart of mine harden?
As hard as the tomb in which my body rests?
If you gave me wings, would you let me fly?
Or would you encapsulate me in a crystal cage?
Would you let this feeling soar?
And then let it fall upon you and die?
If you love me, wake me up...
If you love me, set me free...
If you love me, shut me away in my tomb...
If you love me, catch me when I fall...
I did not wish for anything in return,
So set me free and let me return to where I belong...

When You...

...Looked at me,
I looked into your eyes...
...Said my name,
I listened to your voice...
...Smiled at me,
I was captured by your smile...
...Touched me,
I felt you...
...Hugged me,
I felt secure...
...Kissed me,
I closed my eyes...
...Whispered into my ears,
I smiled...

There are so many things you had done to me and for me... But the most important thing you did is...

...When you accepted me for what I am and who I am,
that's when I started loving you...
You stood by me persistently, despite my own selfishness,
that's when I learned that the value of a man is not measured by his looks or personality,
there are some things beyond that will surpass those qualities...
You showed me the value of a man,
Persistence,
Perserverance,
Endurance,
Dedication,
Patience,
and...
Love...
