On Secrets...

Do you not know that,

when people confide in you, they impart a part of their souls?
when people confide in you, they hand you the most vicious weapon of all?
when people confide in you, they utter their weakness?
when people confide in you, they give you the rarest gift called "TRUST"?

What right, then, pray tell us, do you have to pass the secret on?
What right, then, pray tell us, do you have to stab them with their own weapon?
What right, then, pray tell us, do you have to probe even deeper into their abysses?
What right, then, pray tell us, do you have to trample and blame them for distrust?

Do not blame us for things that we do not entrust you with,
Do not blame us for things that we decide are critical and personal,
Do not blame us for things that we mark you unworthy of,
Do not blame us for things that we seal tight in our minds and souls.

For you betrayed us,
For you trampled on us,
For you disregard us,
For you disrespect us...

So, face the world on your own, my friend, with no one to confide and no person confiding in you.

May you live not in secrecy,
May you live without knowing the beauty of secrets,
May you live within a distance of our existence,
May you live without knowing us...
So shall your journey begin, alone.
